The excitement of sharing new and innovative products and technologies breeds a heightened sense of collaboration and camaraderie between suppliers and clinicians.
And that’s exactly what the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange strives to facilitate.
Held during the Vizient fall member event, planned for Sept. 12-15, the Innovative Technology Exchange provides an opportunity for member attendees to interact with nearly 200 suppliers with products and technologies on the cutting edge of health care.
“The Exchange allows health care providers to experience first hand the problem-solving capabilities these products offer,” said Debbie Archer, procurement director, legal and compliance, at Vizient. “The hands-on format gives them confidence and credibility when they discuss the new products with physicians and other groups in their organizations.”
The Innovative Technology Exchange is part of the Vizient Innovative Technology Program that includes product reviews by member-led councils and task forces of supplier-submitted technologies. Since 2003, more than 2,200 new and innovative technologies have been reviewed as part of the Innovative Technology Program.
Also, it’s not too late to make plans to attend the Vizient spring member event, the Vizient Connections Summit, focusing on supply chain and pharmacy performance improvement. Members from community-based health care organizations and academic medical centers will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversations with suppliers, and supply chain and pharmacy leaders during the Solutions Exchange. Following that, attendees will be able to sharpen their insights on a wide range of supply chain and pharmacy topics at our rapid-fire breakout sessions. The 2017 Vizient Connections Summit will be held April 4-6 in Las Vegas.
