IRVING, Texas, June 2, 2020—Like so many across the country, Vizient is distraught and grieving over the recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and too many other black men and women. The senseless killing of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis and the protests that are occurring in cities across the country affect all of us.  No one should stand silently by when there is inequality and injustice.  No one can afford to be idle bystanders.
Vizient stands with all those mourning recent tragic events, offering support and solidarity. More must be done to end social injustice and racism in health care, in our country and in our world. We commit to and advocate for diversity and inclusion with our employees, our community partners and in our business practices.
Vizient is the nation’s largest health care performance improvement company serving a diverse membership that includes academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health care delivery networks and non-acute health care providers.
