IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Novation, the leading health care services company, today announced it will again collaborate with the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA), Tuck Business School at Dartmouth (Tuck) and Novant Health to offer Building a High-Performing Minority Business, an executive training program for owners of minority owned businesses in the health care industry. The program will be held November 15–20, 2015 at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
“There are complexities in the health care supply chain that can prove challenging for minority-owned suppliers. Fortunately, these challenges are not unsurmountable and can be overcome through education and training,” said Mark Cartwright, director of supplier diversity at Novation. “Programs like this help level the playing field by giving these business owners the tools and networking connections to help them be successful.”
The program’s curriculum has been designed by Tuck, Novant Health, Novation and HSDA to increase the participant’s skills in the areas of:
- Strategy development and implementation
- Analysis of financial statements
- Managing the “customer asset”
- Refining the management structure
- Assessing operations
As part of Novation’s support of Building a High-Performing Minority Business, and its overall commitment to increasing the level of diversity among suppliers in the health care industry, the company is offering four partial scholarships for the five day program.
