IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vizient, Inc. today announced MobileODT as the winner of its 2017 Innovation Challenge, an interactive competition between four early-stage growth health care companies. The competition was held on Wednesday, September 13, during the opening session of the Vizient Clinical Connections Summit at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
The Vizient Innovation Challenge gave Vizient members a firsthand look at four new and compelling products designed to help improve the quality and delivery of health care. The competing companies were chosen from a pool of 40 submissions that were sourced from an outreach that spanned 328 companies in 29 states, Washington D.C. and 10 countries.
Each finalist gave an eight-minute pitch presentation then answered questions from an expert panel that included the chief executive officers from two Vizient member hospitals. At the conclusion of the presentations, the audience of roughly 2,000 health care professionals attending the 2017 Vizient Clinical Connections Summit voted and selected MobileODT as the winner of the 2017 Innovation Challenge.
Designed to combat the barriers between people all over the world and quality health care access, MobileODT turns mobile technologies into intelligent visual diagnostic tools that allows any health provider anywhere on the globe to conduct visual inspections at the level of an expert practitioner.
