IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vizient, Inc. announced today an expansion of its contract with AT&T for wireless cell phone services to include satellite television programming from DIRECTV for member hospitals. The agreement represents DIRECTV’s first group purchasing organization contract for health care providers.

The agreement offers enhanced savings on DIRECTV services to Vizient members that offer inpatient care. The contract includes:
- HD service with less hardware than previously required
- Wi-Fi streaming services for patient and family mobile devices
- Nationwide availability of popular channels and programming
- Remote monitoring of equipment for technical support
- Consistent pricing and equipment across the U.S.
