David leads engagement with Vizient's national GPO contracting partners in the non-pharmacy areas, which represent ~$85B in annual purchase volume. This includes committed contracting, disaster management, environmentally preferred sourcing, group buys, NOVAPLUS - Vizient's private label brand, rebate management, resiliency, standardization, supplier diversity and innovative technology.

For more than 30 years, David has held leadership and management roles within the health care and hospital market. David joined Vizient in 1999, following his experiences at an academic medical center and a health care consulting firm. During his tenure with Vizient, David has led a number of key business areas, including: aggregation/ regional purchasing coalitions, insurance, research and development, sourcing, strategy, supplier relations and numerous technology solutions such as aptitude, ENVI and Vizient’s procure-to-pay platform.

David earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration degree in health services management from the University of Dallas. He is the lead facilitator for Vizient’s Supply Chain Strategy Council, serves on the Board for The Dallas Entrepreneurial Center and recently completed a term on the Board for Captis, LLC and the Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Institute. David is a frequent industry speaker, a practicing instructor at the University of Arizona W.P. Carey School of Business and was recognized as one of the top ten people to watch in the health care supply chain market by the Journal of Healthcare Contracting.
