IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vizient, Inc. today announced the product categories and suppliers participating in its Quarter 4 National Group Buys Program available October 1 through December 31, 2017. Vizient’s innovative National Group Buys Program is one of several strategic programs designed to deliver additional savings to the member hospitals it serves.
GE Healthcare, the featured supplier for Quarter 4, is offering savings opportunities across their capital and diagnostic imaging equipment. Specific products in this group buys opportunity include cardiovascular imaging systems, CT scanner systems, general radiography systems, hemodynamic and electrophysiology monitors, mammography, MRI equipment, nuclear medicine equipment, PET/CT systems, ultrasound systems.

There also will be specific group buys saving offerings in Quarter 4 from various food suppliers in preparation for the holiday season including:
- Basic American Foods – dehydrated potatoes
- Nestle – frozen entrees; Nestle Water – Perrier sparkling water
- Rich Products – Dinner rolls, whipped toppings, flan and crème brulee
- US Foods – Crème pies, ham
Other suppliers offering additional savings on certain products in the Quarter 4 National Group Buys Program include Carestream Health, Grifols USA, Identiplus, Koning Corporation, Mass Medical Storage, Medicore Medical Supply, Pentax of America, Philips Healthcare, Retractable Technologies, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics and STERIS Corporation.
In addition to price reductions, some suppliers are offering additional value in the form of extended warranties, training, leasing options, financing options, and POS service discounts during the group buys.
All equipment noted for the Quarter 4 group buys will be available to all Vizient members including customers served by MedAssets’ Spend and Clinical Resource Management business, which was acquired by Vizient in February 2016.
Since 2005, members and affiliates served by Vizient have purchased more than $6.8 billion, with more than $1.8 billion in savings via the group buys program. In 2017, Vizient members have realized over $372 million in savings alone.
