Mitch Walters, MBA
As vice president of nonacute services for Vizient, Walters is responsible for a team of experts who work with health systems to develop and implement supply chain and technology solutions specific to the non-acute market that result in cost reduction and improved operational efficiencies. He also leads the marketing and business strategy for Provista, a leading non-acute supply chain improvement company and subsidiary of Vizient. Prior to his current role, Walters was vice president, strategic marketing and product management for Provista.
Walters joined Vizient as a business analyst. During his 18 years with the company, he has concentrated on supply chain management and has made unprecedented achievements in various leadership roles in strategic planning, operations, sales, marketing, operations research, product development, business analysis and innovation design.
Walters has championed the use of business process improvements, analytics and designing customer value and loyalty-optimizing products and services. His strategic approach, “big-picture” thinking and results-focused, hands-on style allow him to achieve unparalleled profit, revenue and ROI.
Walters received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Southern Methodist University and a master of business administration degree with an emphasis in finance and health care from the University of Dallas Graduate School of Business.
